Please join us for a pre season social event and meeting.  The kids will meet with coaches to review the NVSL and Hammerhead Code of Conduct, learn a cheer and have some fun.  Parents will also review the Codes of Conduct, socialize and get a chance to take in more information about the upcoming season!  Please RSVP so that we can be sure to have enough food!

The team will meet at Watermelon Park at 10AM. Pack a lunch and eat together afterward!

On Wednesday, July 19, the Herndon Hammerheads will host our first ever SWIMATHON:

• Swimmers aged 8 and under will complete 100 meters (4 pool lengths) or more between 7:30-8:15AM. (Those that need or wish to can swim with a coach, noodle, or kickboard.)
• Swimmers aged 9-12 will complete 400 meters (16 pool lengths) or more between 8:15-9AM
• Swimmers aged 13+ will complete 600 meters (24 pool lengths) or more between 9-9:45AM
• All swimmers who raise $100 or more will receive a $10 concessions gift card. Top fundraisers will win fun prizes (push a fully clothed coach or team rep in the pool, race a coach or team rep in a stroke of their choice, be an honorary lifeguard, etc). If the team collectively surpasses its $7,500 fundraising goal, the coaches and team reps will serve swimmers an ice cream sundae bar – with every topping imaginable – at the team End of Season Party on July 22.
