Calling all Hammerheads! Please join the team for the Herndon Homecoming Parade. We will have donuts together before the parade starts and hand out candy and pencils (w/ summer 2023 registration info) to all kids along the parade route. We need you and your family to participate! 

Details are as follows:

-Please arrive by 8:30 to Herndon Middle School (901 Locust Street). We'll have donuts and wait our turn to start walking. Our unit number is TBD. 

-Arrival: Only parade vehicles are to enter the staging area, passenger drop offs are permitted at the intersections of Elden Street and Sterling Road or the intersection of Elden Street and Locus Street. Dropping off at the District Floor Depot (1051 Elden Street) is recommended. A walkway between the Extended Stay Hotel and the store provides quick and close access to the middle school. Elden Street from Sterling Road to Monroe will close completely to traffic at 9AM. Late arrivals can access the middle school staging area via Alabama Drive to Florida Avenue, to Center Street, to drop off at Locust Street, or via the District Floor Depot.

-We'll walk with our Hammerheads banner and throw candy to the kids along the parade route. The theme is "Under the Sea" - please wear your Hammerhead gear, swim goggles, wet suits! Whatever suits your fancy! We will have some hammerhead costumes, hats, and other props for you to use as well.  

So that we have enough donuts and for planning, we'd be grateful if you would RSVP. If you don't RSVP, please still come. We would love to see as many Hammerheads as possible. Parents and other adults are more than welcome to join!
